He was the funny guy

I remember all too well laughing at his jokes, too, a few times.

But the show was over.

He wasn’t laughing anymore.

He was hurting me

Hurting me

Hurting me.

The smell of his hunger hovering over me still gives me nightmares.

Lord, he even took my sleep.

-Reliving the death of my own flower

I freeze at the mention of the R-word.

To be violated is to be silenced.

Oh, but I had learnt to put plasters on my gunshot wounds.

The bumpy car ride back home in his friend’s car was the worst.

The silence was deafening.

I would’ve opted to walk home, but Lord knows I would’ve collapsed on the way.

His driving had no mercy for my

Bloody

Pounded vagina.

He might as well have crashed the car

He might as well have killed us all.

I was half dead already, anyways.
